Understudy/ Swing tracks

Since moving to DC in 2023 I have understudied/ swung twice. Prior to my move I had never undertaken a contract involving this type of work. Thankfully Imagination Stage was the perfect place to explore this area of the industry. I feel as though working double cast shows in college helped with my ability to learn blocking without being on the stage. Similarly, I was able to keep up with swinging 8 tracks in a Midsummer Night’s Dream with Prince George County Shakespeare in the Park due to my experience as a stage manager. With each role I was given the opportunity to perform in my roles for three performances. Understudying and swinging can be a thankless job until it is not. I have always been met with so much gratitude by the overstudies when I am able to step in for them. I am so happy and thankful for these roles keeping me working and exploring theatre in the DMV area.

My swing roles include: Female Swing in Midsummer Night’s dream with Prince George County.
