Maryland Renaissance Festival (2023)
The summer of 2023 I moved to the DMV area to join the cast of the Maryland Renaissance Festival in their acting company as Mistress Catherine Bassett in the Royal Court, as Mistress Quickly in The Merry Wives of Windsor, and as Cherry in the Beaux Stratagem. I returned to the Festival in 2024 as Charlotte “Lottie” Grimm throughout the day at the Archery Exhitition and at Fast Fairytales on the Boardwalk, as Morta Weyward at Pub Sing, as Moth in Into the Forest Wild and as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet Act 2 Scene 5. I could also be seen carving my own bow throughout the season!
I spent 7 weekends out of the 9 week run hand carving and shaping this bow. It is made of maple and I had the honor to shoot it the last two weekends of the festival. Of all the work I have done it is probably the project I am most proud of.
