I performed in 1776 the fall semester of my sophomore year at Samford. This was my first musical in college. This role was an immense challenge for me. Charles Thomson was so far removed from who I am and the world I live in, but he was a real breathing man. I did a lot of research on this man who it seems history has forgotten. I fell in love with his story and his passion for our infantile country. The letters in this show were at least a page of detail in monologue form. It was a mountain to memorize each letter, but it was worth it for the end product.
